The Microgate Pressure Switch is designed to be affixed to the floor for motor racing or cycling applications. When the vehicle / bicycle passes over the switch a pulse is sent into the timing system which logs a start, split or finish time as required.
The materials used to manufacture the pressure switches were chosen very carefully to ensure optimal operation in almost all conditions.
The Microgate Pressure Switch is available in two different models:
• Pressure sensors for motor racing
Pressure sensor with automatic pressure control. The sensitivity of the switch does not change with differences in the climate (pressure and temperature). The tube is manufactured from high-quality materials, which ensures that any damage from passing vehicles is reduced.
• Pressure sensors for cycling
The Microgate pressure sensors for cycling has a lower contour in comparison to the motor racing model, and an increase in sensitivity. The athlete will not notice as they pass over the switch due to it being only a few millimetres thick
