The National Velodrome of Wales has taken delivery of the new EtherLynx Vision PRO X Photo-Finish Camera, marking a significant upgrade in high-speed cycling timing technology.

Installed at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome in Newport, the Vision PRO X represents the latest evolution in elite-level photo-finish imaging — delivering exceptional precision, clarity, and reliability for competitive track cycling.

Precision Timing at 40,000 Frames Per Second

The Vision PRO X captures up to 40,000 frames per second at 5120 pixels, offering image resolution up to six times greater than leading standard systems. This enhanced capability ensures accurate rider separation, even when races are decided by the narrowest of margins.

Designed for high-speed sports applications, the system features:

  • LuxBoost16 enhanced light sensitivity

  • Internal GPS

  • Electronic View Finder

  • On-Board Level

  • Compatibility with high-quality F-Mount lenses

  • Continuously variable frame rate for maximum flexibility

Its advanced low-light performance makes it ideally suited to indoor velodrome environments, delivering crystal-clear images under artificial lighting conditions.
