The Freelap SpaceUnit, paired with the PowerUnit transmitter, is a specialised component of the Freelap timing system, designed to facilitate precise start detection in track, and also lap/finish times for track/motocross. The PowerUnit is equipped with a microphone that detects loud sounds, such as a clap or a gunshot, to trigger the start signal.
